Lyft driver accused of sexual assault
A lot of people take for granted their Uber/Lyft driver. This person has a big responsibility when driving passengers around to their destinations. Most times, the driver is fine and does a great job, but there are those few who are “Bad Apples”.
If for any reason, you are in a situation where the driver has done something to you or someone your with that makes you feel uncomfortable or if the driver physically hurts you, either through their driving or actual contact, you must immediately contact the authorities and have them file a report.
Don’t let this go unreported, because if it’s happened to you it can happen to someone else.
Sometimes, when in a car accident you will hear the driver say “I don’t want to get insurances involved, let’s not call the police” or “I don’t want to lose my job, please don’t call the police”. These are huge red flags, and you should definitely call the police. If the driver did nothing wrong, they will not be fired, their insurance will not be affected. In the case that they did do something, and it resulted in you getting injured and no police report was filed you may not be able to get reimbursement
Here at Lolo Legal we can help you with any of these types of situations, from the mundane to the downright criminal, don’t hesitate to give us a call and ask us any question you may have.
